Parents

Parents play a vital role at CCEP through volunteering and classroom involvement. You are encouraged to join the Parents’ Panel Organization where we hope you will meet other parents and find a way to be involved in your child’s school life.

What's available with PPO:

 Room Mom

Help the teacher by organizing class parties, teacher gifts, events, field trips, and coordinating classroom volunteers. Room moms are also encouraged to plan a class get-together at the beginning of the school year.

Carpool Committee

Bring your smiling face to the carpool line a couple of mornings per month and help the administrative team walk the children into their classrooms between 8:45-9:15 a.m. This is a great way to get to know the children, the staff and other parents.                                                                 

Welcoming Committee

For parents who have been at CCEP for a year or more and want to share their knowledge and love of the school with new families by calling or emailing new families.                          

 

Teacher Appreciation Committee

Birthday Recognition Volunteer to help recognize one of CCEP’s teachers on their birthday by bringing a cake and a card from the PPO on the teachers’ special day. C

Teacher Appreciation Committee: Special Events  

Help plan and implement regular “treats” for teachers such as snacks, notes, or lunch, as well as plan some special events during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Help plan a school wide Easter egg hunt. Work with a team to collect candy and eggs and stuff and hide them for the big day!                                                                                                        

 

Parent University

Work with a team to plan monthly or bi-monthly parent meetings to cover relevant topics such as parenting, nutrition, security and safety, discipline, spiritual growth, etc.         

 

School Shopping Committee

Help run errands for CCEP in your free time. Make trips to Staples, Sam’s Club or Costco for snacks, school or office supplies.                                                                                          

Classroom or Office Volunteer

Be available to help out in the classrooms or office as needed.

Fundraising

Be a part of a team that plans and implements an annual fund to benefit the children of CCEP.  

Fundraising: Pizza Fridays (weekly throughout the school year)

Come on a Friday morning to pick up pizza for the children and deliver it to the classrooms with a smile.

 Fundraising: Book Fair (December)

Help set up and break down books or work a shift during the book fair.

 Fundraising: Lobster Sale and Dinner (October)

The lobster sale or come the day of the event to cook lobsters, hand out lobsters or help with the dinner.  Great time for dads to get involved!

 

Fundraising: Teacher Conference (Saturday morning, January 2011)

Help the CCEP staff host a conference.  Volunteers will be needed to create conference brochure and mailing, to greet and register, to help assemble and serve lunch, and to help clean up on the day of the event. A perfect way for working moms to help out!
